Job summary

Jobot seeks a litigation associate to join our medical malpractice and professional liability practice. You’ll work with experienced attorneys on a steady docket, gain hands‑on exposure to clients and strategy, and have opportunities for early client contact.

Ideal candidates have a RI license, 2–10 years of litigation experience in medical malpractice or insurance defense, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.

• Draft pleadings, written discovery, and dispositive and other motions
• Take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses
• Research and write on liability, damages, and exposure
• Assist with licensing board and regulatory matters
• Help evaluate case value and settlement strategy for clients and carriers
• Handle matters in court and arbitration as experience grows
• Communicate directly with clients and insurance representatives
