Job summary

Litigation Associate – Medical Malpractice Defense in Philadelphia, PA. This Am Law 200 firm’s Professional Liability practice seeks a lawyer with 2–10 years of experience to join its growing team in a hybrid role.

You will defend physicians and healthcare entities, manage cases through discovery, depositions, motions, and trial prep, draft pleadings and motions, work with experts, and develop case strategies while collaborating with experienced trial attorneys in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 2–10 years of litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience managing discovery, drafting motions, and preparing for depositions
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating with a team

Responsibilities

• Defend physicians, hospitals, healthcare systems, and other professionals in medical malpractice and professional liability litigation.
• Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, substantive motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Work with medical experts, prepare witnesses, and assist with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Develop case strategies and work directly with clients on complex litigation matters.
• Gain exposure to courtroom proceedings and jury trials.

We are partnering with a respected national law firm seeking a Litigation Associate with 2–10 years of experience to join its growing Professional Liability team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to develop or expand their litigation practice while handling sophisticated medical malpractice and professional liability matters.
