Job summary

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP in Detroit, MI seeks an Associate with 2-4 years of litigation experience to join our Detroit office. The ideal candidate will handle all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation analysis, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and trial preparation.

A license to practice in Michigan and familiarity with the Michigan state and federal court system are required. Experience in tort litigation, employment, or financial services is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of litigation experience.

• Excellent analytical and writing skills with strong academics.

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for an Associate with 2-4 years of litigation experience for our Detroit, MI office. The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation analysis, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, attending court conferences, and trial preparation. Consideration is also given to candidates with experience in tort litigation, employment, and/or financial services. Candidates must demonstrate excellent analytical and writing skills and academic achievement. The role will provide client-facing responsibilities, court experience, case management ownership, and opportunity to advance in a dynamic law firm.

A license to practice in Michigan and familiarity with the Michigan state and federal court system is required.
