Litigation Associate

Job Location: Denver | Work Type: Full Time

Squire Patton Boggs is seeking a junior to mid-level Litigation Associate to join our Denver office. Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation is a plus but not required. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for handling most aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions; legal research; arguing hearings; managing discovery requests and responses; taking and defending depositions; and assisting with trial preparations and trial.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of experience at a top-tier firm and/or judicial clerkship
• Admission to the Colorado Bar
• Possess a JD from an accredited law school and a strong academic record
• Excellent credentials

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation a plus, but not a requirement
• Significant and exceptional writing experience/skills
• Legal research, drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, coordinating with local counsel, and generally defending against litigation
• Excellent research and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Courtroom and deposition experience preferred but not required
• More senior candidates should have substantial experience managing the various aspects of a commercial lawsuit from start to finish. More junior candidates should have an exceptional academic record
• Must be a self-starter, have the ability to prioritize workload, display good judgment, and work well under pressure

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $222,500-$260,000 per year and is dependent on skills and experience.
