Responsibilities

Handle most aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, legal research, arguing hearings, managing discovery requests and responses, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trial preparations.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of experience at a top-tier firm and/or judicial clerkship.
• Admission to the Ohio Bar.
• JD from an accredited law school and strong academic record.
• Excellent credentials.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation a plus, but not required.
• Significant and exceptional writing experience/skills.
• Legal research, drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, coordinating with local counsel, and generally defending against litigation.
• Excellent research and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Courtroom and deposition experience preferred but not required.
• More senior candidates should have substantial experience managing the various aspects of a commercial lawsuit from start to finish; more junior candidates should have an exceptional academic record.
• Must be a self-starter, prioritize workload, display good judgment, and work well under pressure.
