Job summary

A regional law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1-3 years of litigation experience. The candidate will join a supportive team of seasoned attorneys focused on mentorship. Qualifications

Our client, a highly respected and established regional law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their expanding practice. Known for their deep expertise in insurance defense and workers' compensation, this firm provides an ideal platform for a junior attorney to transition from "researcher" to "litigator."

The Opportunity: You will join a team of veteran trial attorneys who prioritize mentorship and hands‑on experience. This is a high‑volume, fast‑paced practice where you will be expected to step into the courtroom and handle depositions early in your tenure.

The Work:

• Litigation: Draft and argue motions, demurrers, and pleas in court.
• Discovery: Conduct and defend depositions and manage written discovery.
• Advocacy: Attend mediations and assist with trial strategy for workers' comp and liability cases.
• Reporting: Work directly with insurance carriers to provide strategic case evaluations.

Qualifications:

• J.D. with 1–3 years of litigation experience (Insurance Defense preferred; Judicial Clerks encouraged to apply).
• VA Bar Admission is required.
• TN Bar Admission is a significant plus (especially for the Bristol location).
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
