Job summary

JSR Micro, Inc. is seeking a QC Functional Process Engineer II – Application to support quality control analytical operations, tool performance, and process optimization within a cleanroom environment in Sunnyvale, CA.

The role emphasizes lithography-related applications, data integrity, and continuous improvement to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance. Ideal candidates are hands-on, collaborative, and skilled in SPC/SQC, JMP, and tool troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience as a Process Engineer, Equipment Engineer, or Metrology Engineer in a cleanroom or semiconductor environment.
• Experience with lithography process equipment and/or metrology tools, with minimal to moderate supervision.
• Working knowledge of SPC/SQC, measurement system analysis, and/or LIMS.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, databases, and JMP.
• Experience in tool troubleshooting and/or process troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Support QC metrology, process development, tool management, PCS, MCC, and LIMS activities (with minimal to moderate supervision).
• Apply DOE, 8D, fishbone analysis, and tool partitioning to resolve tool and process issues.
• Perform QC testing, data collection, and analysis to support manufacturing and customer requirements.
• Present data using JMP, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and databases.
• Collaborate with operations teams, engineers, and vendors to support tool and material troubleshooting.
