Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a qualified Pressman to support sheet-fed lithography. Under supervision, you will assist in all aspects of the press, including make-ready, ink loading, and color adjustments, to ensure on-time shipments.

This role requires prior lithography experience, the ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, and physical stamina for long standing and lifting up to 35 pounds. You will collaborate with shift leaders to maintain quality and safety.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary: Under supervision, participates in all aspects of sheet feed Lithography. Pressman is an intermediate skill level in Printing & Coating. They perform a range of skilled duties in Lithography & coating in the Material center. Support plant production needs for daily operation, changeovers, and preparation for shipments. Primarily responsible for assisting in packaging of product of internal and external use.

Responsibilities

• Perform all press make-ready functions in accordance with safety and quality guidelines
• Hang plates, load ink, load stock.
• Bring and maintain ink settings to and at proper levels.
• Verify job ticket specifications and assure that all materials needed to produce jobs are available.
• Run print jobs upon obtaining quality check approval from group leader or manager.
• Maintain consistency of quality throughout press runs.
• Remove plates and inks and wash-up press upon completion of orders and otherwise maintain the press in good working order.
• Troubleshoot problems with jobs and/or press as necessary.
• Report any press malfunctions or problems with jobs which cannot be easily resolved to either group leader or manager.
• Report any shortage or low level of press room supplies to group leader or manager.
• Performs other production tasks associated with Offset Printing.
• Performs other general tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Previous Lithography experience required.

• Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment efficiently required.
