Job summary

MCC is seeking a Finishing Jogger Operator at our Batavia, NY facility. The role focuses on aligning printed material from the press and preparing it for cutting, while meeting safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include jogging loads per specs, inspecting for defects, calibrating equipment, and maintaining documentation. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and pallet jack certification; basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to follow detailed but straightforward written and oral instructions.
• Basic computer and business operating systems knowledge.
• Pallet Jack certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Jogs loads according to customer specifications.
• Inspects printed product and notes defects.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Calibrate scale on jogging equipment.
• Completes required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Complies with safety policies and regulations (GMP, BRC, HACCP) as applicable.
• Interacts professionally and maintains company ethics.
• Maintains daily housekeeping.
• Supports Lean Manufacturing and 5S in production.
• Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Jogs loads according to customer specifications.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• The minimal language skills are ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one.
• The minimal math ability is addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straightforward written and oral instructions.
• Must have basic computer and business operating systems knowledge.
• Must be able to deal with problems involving a few variables.
• Must be certified Pallet Jack operator.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• This position requires frequent walking.
• Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
