Job summary

MCC is seeking a Press Utility to support Press Operators in setup, make-ready, and cleanup within defined timelines. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and precise handling of printing equipment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, basic data entry skills, color vision, ruler reading ability, and the stamina to lift up to 50 pounds. Experience in print shops is a plus for this on-site position with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Print shop experience helpful, but not required.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with others (verbal and written); team player.
• Ability to read and understand a job ticket; read a ruler and understand measurements; pass ruler and eye color tests.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
• Attains and maintains all defined job objectives related to planning and execution of all jobs and quick changes.
• Assist in external make-ready operations for changeover activities (changing from one label job to another).
• Assist in external clean-up activities following changeover.
• Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment.
• Strip plates from cylinders.
• Locate dies to and from the press.
• May work with a press operator to view labels with a strobe light.
• Comply with customer and MCC quality assurance specifications.
• Complete quality assurance sheets and related documentation.

We are currently looking for a Press Utility to join our team. The Press Utility is responsible for assisting the Press Operators as directed to perform press setup, make-ready, and clean-up activities within a defined time frame.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Print shop experience helpful, but not required
• Ability to communicate and interact well with others (verbally and in written form); seen as a team player
• Ability to read and understand a job ticket
• Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (able to pass a ruler test)
• Ability correctable to 20/20 (able to pass an eye test)
• Ability to differentiate colors (able to pass a color test)
• Ability to input data into the computer
• Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities
• Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions

• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
