Job summary

P&C Recruiting | H.R. seeks a Mining Engineer to lead planning and short-range production for a developmental surface lithium mine. You will collaborate with operations, corporate engineering, and on-site contractors to keep schedules and report variances as the project progresses from construction into production.

The role includes ore grade control planning, waste stream management, annual work plan updates, and support for environmental permitting and safety compliance under MSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related field required.
• 5–10 years of experience as a mining engineer in surface mining preferred.
• Construction and/or project management experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Track production and compare to plan.
• Update short-range plans to maintain schedules.
• Prepare equipment scheduling to maximize efficiency.
• Plan ore grade control to optimize efficiency and meet quality requirements.
• Plan and track waste streams during transition to production.
• Assist in long-term and annual work plans with monthly updates.
• Prepare end-of-period material reconciliation reports.
• Provide support to operations and maintenance teams as directed.
• Design and oversee construction projects such as buildings and water management facilities.
• Assist in engineering studies including budgets and equipment evaluations.
• Support environmental projects for permitting and regulatory compliance, including groundwater and waste management.
• Comply with MSHA regulations and safety procedures.
