Job summary

Escalante Elementary is seeking a Paraprofessional I to assist teachers in literacy support for students in grades K-3. The role is part-time with a 0.7375 FTE (up to 29.5 hours per week) and an hourly starting wage of $18.50.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of college (48 hours) or an associate degree or higher.
• Parapro Assessment/PRAXIS ETS score of 460+ or equivalent.
• CPR & First Aid within 2 months of hire; annual health training.
• Ability to use standard office equipment and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support literacy and general instruction in K-3 classrooms as directed by the teacher.
• Administer tests and proctor evaluations to monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers to assess and implement student objectives and learning plans.
• Assist with clerical duties, data recording, attendance, and reporting to support lesson plans.
