Crafted Staff is seeking compassionate Special Education Teachers to provide individualized literacy and reading intervention support to students with disabilities in Brooklyn and Manhattan, NY. The ideal candidate has a strong background in special education, literacy, reading intervention, and IEP support, with the ability to tailor learning strategies to diverse needs and work well

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Certification in Special Education required.
• Certification in Literacy required.
• Certification in Students with Disabilities required.
• Certification in Reading preferred.
• Experience with students with disabilities and/or in special education settings required.
• Strong background in literacy development and reading instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction in reading, literacy, and academic skills.
• Support students with IEPs and other special education needs.
• Deliver targeted reading intervention and literacy instruction.
• Reinforce classroom instruction and help students work toward individualized goals.
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet each student's learning needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff.
• Monitor and document student progress.
• Participate in educational planning and learning strategies.
• Create a supportive, structured, student-centered learning environment.
