Job summary

Waterville Public Schools seeks a caring and dedicated Title 1 Ed Tech III to support literacy and math at Brookside Elementary School in Waterville, ME. This school-year position follows the academic calendar and aims to strengthen student success through collaborative team efforts.

Ideal candidates bring experience with children in a school setting, literacy and math instructional knowledge, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting.
• Training or experience in best practices of literacy and/or math instruction.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Three or more years of post-secondary education, or 90 semester hours approved study, or equivalent, in an educationally related field.
• Appropriate Department of Education certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere conducive to academic learning by monitoring and enforcing classroom expectations.
• Maintain acceptable student behavior.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Maintain a positive professional attitude with students, staff, and families.
