Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree, completion of at least 48 college credits, or successful completion of a state-approved paraprofessional assessment required.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated reliability and excellent attendance.
• Willingness to learn and consistently implement evidence-based literacy instructional practices.
• CORI and SAFIS Background Check prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-aligned literacy intervention to individual students and small groups.
• Implement district-approved reading intervention programs with fidelity.
• Deliver explicit instruction in foundational literacy skills: phonemic awareness, phonics & decoding, fluency, vocabulary, language.
• Differentiate instruction based on student needs and assessment data.
• Reinforce classroom literacy instruction while supporting student goals.
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment.
