Job summary

TrulyHired in Struthers, OH, seeks a Supplemental Support Teacher (Literacy Intervention) for Struthers Elementary School. This grant-funded, one-year position targets targeted literacy intervention for students in K4 with a focus on outcomes through evidence-based practices aligned with the Science of Reading.

The role collaborates with classroom teachers, intervention staff, special education staff, and administrators to monitor progress, implement interventions, and accelerate reading

Qualifications

• Must have a current valid Ohio Early Childhood License K-5 or PK-3.
• Must have completed the Ohio Department of Education Science of Reading professional learning modules.
• Must have experience implementing evidence-based instruction aligned to the Science of Reading.
• Must have knowledge of Ohio's Multi-Tiered System of Supports.
• Must have elementary teaching experience in reading/language arts.
• Must be able to work cooperatively in an inclusion setting.
• Must have experience analyzing literacy assessment data to develop targeted interventions.
• Must have a clean and current BCI and FBI check.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive literacy instruction and monitor student progress.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to accelerate reading achievement.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, intervention staff, special education staff, and administrators.
• Support school improvement goals beyond core instruction.
