The University of New Mexico's College of Education and Human Sciences invites applications for a full-time Professor of Practice – Literacy Coordinator. This role leads literacy-related initiatives across educator preparation programs and advances structured literacy and science of reading practices in partnership with faculty, districts, and state agencies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Education, Literacy, Reading, Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, Educational Leadership or a closely related field.
• Minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership as Literacy Coordinator across educator preparation programs.
• Collaborate with faculty and external partners to support implementation of structured literacy requirements.
• Coordinate assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement activities across programs.
