Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education is required. Five years of professional teaching in a classroom setting preferred.
• Certificate or License Required: Must possess or be eligible for a valid Georgia Professional Teaching Certificate.
• Language Skills: Proficient in communicating theory and practice; ability to work with diverse populations; write professional correspondences and reports.
• Mathematical/Analytical Skills: Ability to collect and analyze assessment data, and report findings.
• Reasoning Ability: Facilitate problem solving and organize work.
• Technical Ability: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Observes and models classroom instructional and management strategies and provides feedback to support teachers in improving these practices.
• Plans collaboratively with teachers and assists in the development of engaging activities for effective classroom instruction.
• Provides mentoring to classroom teachers.
• Plans and conducts professional learning as needed to strengthen instructional practices and curriculum knowledge.
• Assists in identifying and providing evidence-based instructional materials and resources.
• Collects, analyzes, and reports appropriate achievement data to assist in decisions and planning.
• Meets regularly with school administrators to analyze student progress and plan next steps.
• Implements coaching cycles with teachers including goal-setting, learning, observing, data collection, and reflection.
