Job Description

This position is effective with the 2026-2027 school year. It is a full-time, 10-month teaching contract (200 days). The teacher will serve on the elementary staff and, as a Literacy Coach (SES), will provide literacy coaching at the elementary level.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Postgraduate Professional teaching license with endorsements in Elementary Education and Reading Specialist.
• Five years of successful experience as a classroom teacher at the elementary level.
• Preference will be given to those with Kindergarten through grade 5 experience, and to those with experience in literacy coaching at the elementary level.

Pay and Contract

Pay Rate: Teacher Salary Scale (credit is based on years of full-time experience in a related position) – $55,890 to $103,424 Per Year.

Contract: Full time / 10 months / 200 days
