Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks an Elementary School Reading Resource teacher to lead district-wide literacy initiatives and coach K-5 staff.

You will develop materials, organize professional learning sessions before/after school, and support teachers with balanced and structured literacy practices.

Ideal candidates hold NJ DOE Reading Specialist or Elementary Certificate with five years of K-5 teaching experience; a Master's in Reading is preferred.

Qualifications

  • NJ DOE Reading Specialist or Elementary Certificate with five years K-5 teaching experience required.
  • Master's Degree in Reading or IMSLEC certificate preferred.
  • Knowledge of NJTSS and data analysis helpful.
  • Ability to model and coach K-5 teachers in balanced and structured literacy practices.
  • Create, curate, organize, and share instructional materials to support teachers.
  • Organize and implement professional learning opportunities before/after school, in-service days, and meetings.
  • Act as a literacy intervention consultant; analyze student achievement and progress monitoring.
  • Conduct screening and diagnostic assessments to identify at-risk students.
  • Engage in K-5 curriculum writing for additional compensation per contract.
  • Collaborate with colleagues; communicate with students, teachers, parents, and administrators.
  • Commitment to student-centered instruction in a parent-involved community.

  • Act as a literacy intervention consultant by serving on building-based problem-solving teams, creating instructional action plans, and reviewing progress monitoring.
  • Conduct screening and diagnostic assessments to identify at-risk students and guide instruction.
  • Engage in K-5 curriculum writing as needed for additional compensation per contract.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support student-centered instruction and engage parents and administrators.

  • Knowledge of New Jersey Tiered System of Supports (NJTSS) and data analysis helpful.
  • An understanding of how to model for and coach K-5 general education teachers as they engage in both balanced and structured literacy practices.
  • Create, curate, organize, and share instructional materials to support teachers.
