Job summary

Midwest Centers in Toledo, Ohio seeks a Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor (LISW-S) to lead clinical services for individuals recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This leadership role includes supervising clinicians pursuing independent licensure and ensuring high-quality care.

The ideal candidate will have an Ohio LISW-S, an MSW, at least two years post-licensure experience, strong assessment, documentation and EHR skills, and a commitment to

Qualifications

• Current Ohio LISW-S license required
• MSW from an accredited program
• Minimum of 2 years post-licensure clinical experience
• Experience treating SUD and co-occurring disorders
• Experience providing clinical supervision preferred
• Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and evidence-based practices
• Strong documentation, organizational and communication skills
• Proficient with electronic health records (EHR)
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain
• Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy for clients in substance use treatment
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and discharge planning
• Provide clinical supervision to social workers pursuing independent licensure
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, CARF, and organizational standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and other team members
• Conduct crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development
• Mentor and support clinical staff through supervision and training
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
