Clinical Director (LISWS) - Behavioral Health | Toledo & Dayton, OH

We are partnering with a well-established behavioral health and residential services organization in Toledo, Ohio to find an experienced and dynamic Clinical Director to join their leadership team. This is a senior leadership role for a clinician who is ready to step into a position of meaningful impact - overseeing all clinical service delivery, building programs, and mentoring staff across multiple locations including Dayton.

Position Details
  • Setting: Behavioral Health / Residential Services - outpatient and residential programs
  • Patient Population: Adults and youth - behavioral health, mental health, and residential services
  • Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday, typically 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (additional hours may be required)
  • Locations: Toledo, OH (primary) + Dayton, OH
  • Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Start Date: ASAP
About the Role

As Clinical Director, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for inspiring and leading clinical staff while creating opportunities for growth and excellence within the agency. Working under the supervision of the CEO, you will manage all daily activities of clinical service delivery in alignment with the organization's vision and values. This is an exempt, administrative-level position offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape the future of a growing behavioral health organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain 10 billable hours per week while managing full clinical operations
  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership across all service and program areas, including the Dayton office
  • Review diagnostic assessments and ensure evidence-based practices and outcomes measurement are implemented across all programs
  • Establish and monitor goals for program growth, treatment efficacy, and quality of care
  • Provide and document individual and group clinical supervision to all direct service staff
  • Oversee year-round programming that addresses client needs and meets all applicable State mandated requirements
  • Manage hiring, evaluation, and terminations of clinical staff in consultation with Human Resources
  • Conduct annual and introductory performance evaluations for direct reporting employees and contractors
  • Develop proposed objectives, staffing patterns, and budgets for clinical services in conjunction with the management team
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities including community outreach as needed
  • Collaborate with management and meet with supervisor weekly to review goals, objectives, and emerging issues
  • Ensure all treatment decisions are made in the best interest of the client
  • Support program development and growth opportunities across the organization
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or Counseling - required
  • Independent, supervisory behavioral health license (LISWS or equivalent) - required
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical management - required
  • Knowledge of grant writing processes, protocols, and opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively recruit, supervise, and develop staff members and volunteers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community resources and partnerships
  • Strong organizational, management, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in significant matters
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a leadership team
