Job summary

The Ohio State University Total Health Care Center is seeking a Social Worker LISW to provide comprehensive social work services for adults, children and families, focusing on substance use treatment and recovery support within an integrated care team.

The role includes psychosocial assessments, counseling, crisis intervention, discharge planning and education, with opportunities to mentor health professional students and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current LISW license in Ohio.
• 1 year experience in individual therapy; 2–4 years preferred.
• Experience with Motivational Interviewing, CBT, or DBT preferred.
• Experience with visually impaired or people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide social work services to adults, children and families with a focus on substance use treatment and recovery support.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, mental health counseling, distress screening, crisis intervention and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and mentor health professional students.
