Job summary

The Ohio State University Total Health Care Center seeks a licensed social worker to provide psychosocial support to adults, children and families within an integrated care team. Focus areas include substance use treatment, recovery support and discharge planning, with responsibilities across education, crisis intervention and community linkages.

Minimum education is a Master’s in Social Work with a current Ohio LISW license; 1 year of direct therapy experience is required, 2–4 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current LISW license in the State of Ohio.
• 1 year minimum experience in individual therapy and substance use treatment; 2–4 years preferred.
• Experience with Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, or similar approaches.
• Experience with visually impaired or people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments and mental health counseling.
• Perform distress screening and crisis intervention.
• Offer financial counseling and discharge planning.
• Provide health education and linkages to community resources.
