Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Instrumentation Services Technician to calibrate, maintain, and repair scientific instruments at a premier client site in the CBRE Lab Services group.

The role involves handling test equipment, coordinating maintenance periods, and documenting activities to ensure equipment reliability. The technician will work within standard procedures, lead by example in CBRE RISE values, and liaise with customer staff and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory equipment maintenance and repair strongly preferred.
• 4 year degree in a scientific discipline, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Must have appropriate license or certification where required by law.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Coordinate with external contractors on repairs covered by maintenance agreements; communicate with customer staff and outside contractors.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Laboratory Instrumentation Services (LIS) Technician, you will calibrate, maintain, and complete repairs of scientific instrumentation.

This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical & controlled client environments.

What You’ll Do:

• Disassemble, examine, clean, fix, calibrate, check, maintain special equipment, systems, and controls.
• Operate test equipment. This includes multimeters, frequency generators, certified calibration weights, and digital logic probes.
• Coordinate the removal of equipment requiring extensive repairs during scheduled maintenance periods.

• Have some knowledge of standard principles with practical experience in applying them.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

What You’ll Need:
