Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an experienced Liquor Store General Manager 3B to lead a Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in Hermitage. You will direct daily operations, coach staff, drive sales, and ensure a safe, welcoming store, while overseeing inventory and compliance with liquor laws.

This role requires progression through Commonwealth titles and a track record of supervisory retail experience. Onsite work with standard hours and no telework, plus state employment benefits.

Qualifications

• One year as a Liquor Store General Manager 3A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration).
• Two years as a Liquor Store General Manager 2B (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration).
• Three years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 3 or a Liquor Store General Manager 2A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration).
• Four years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1B (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration).
• Six years of supervisory retail sales work.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations and guide the team toward meeting business goals.
• Provide coaching, assign tasks, and monitor work quality to support employee growth.
• Promote sales by managing inventory, stocking products, and helping customers with selections.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure proper product placement to enhance customer experience.
• Support adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies related to alcohol sales.
