Job summary
The Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control is seeking a dedicated Agent to enforce Missouri liquor laws, operate from the St. Louis District Office, and cover District 3 and parts of District 4.
The role blends office duties with field inspections, trainer duties, and joint operations with local police. Qualifications include US citizenship, Missouri residency, a high school diploma, a valid MO driver license, and a MO POST class A license; two years in law enforcement and ability to pass
Qualifications
- Be a US citizen and Missouri resident at hire.
- Valid Missouri driver license.
- Proficient in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Missouri POST class A license at appointment.
- Minimum of two years law enforcement experience.
- College coursework in criminal justice or military police may substitute year-for-year.
- Residence within 60 miles of St. Louis office or relocation within six months; pass required assessments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for liquor license applicants and licensees within designated territory.
- Review liquor license applications for completeness and eligibility.
- Conduct retailer education trainings, inspections and investigations.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement for joint enforcement activities; perform plainclothes enforcement.
