Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking an Auditor to audit liquor licensees for compliance with liquor control laws in Missouri. The role will involve fieldwork across the state, preparing audit and violation reports and testifying when needed.

The position conducts audits of microbreweries, wineries, wholesalers, and retail licensees, with a focus on three-tier alcohol distribution and excise tax compliance, in-office and site visits as required.

Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen and Missouri resident at hire.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to perform inventory counts and physical tasks (lifting, stairs, confined spaces).
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Audit liquor licensees for compliance with liquor laws and regulations.
• Perform audits of licensees and review compliance work; prepare reports.
• Conduct site visits across Missouri; verify excise taxes are paid on intoxicating liquors.
• Prepare audit and violation reports for supervisory review; testify on findings when required.
