Job summary

Polaris Huntsville is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support painting operations and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced plant. You will troubleshoot basic mechanical systems, assist with PM activities, and document procedures to ensure consistent processes and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a related 2-year technical degree preferred, and at least 2 years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A 2-year related technical degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Exhibit proficiency in the required skills, abilities and responsibilities for the position.
• Strong attendance record - Exceeds Expectations.
• Meets Expectations or above rating on annual performance review.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe and healthy manner following all safety rules.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical systems.
• Assist with PM and basic repair activities.
• Support development and implementation of autonomous maintenance.
• Document standard procedures for technician and operator tasks.
• Maintain data logs for documented processes in liquid paint.
• Understanding of Environmental Compliance requirements for operations and waste streams.
• Ensure proper startup of system before production begins.
• Communicate clearly between shifts all activities performed and status updates on projects.
• Assist production as needed to keep downtime to a minimum.
