Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro in Ft. Madison, IA is seeking Machine Packaging Operators for our Liquids Manufacturing team. This role involves tending automated liquid bottle filling machinery, feeding components, and maintaining production schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Starting pay terms vary by progression: $20/hour biweekly, and a typical step pay progression up to about $22.05/hour with a $0.50 shift differential; weekly pay, with eligibility for comprehensive benefits after start.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED preferred.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to learn multiple machines and operate with accuracy.
• Willingness to work overtime and rotate shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend automated liquid bottle filling equipment to meet schedules.
• Feed components onto conveyors and assist in line maintenance and changeovers.
• Audit quality, document issues and communicate with supervision.
• Support continuous improvements to improve line output and efficiency.
