Scotts Miracle-Gro is hiring Machine Packaging Operators for the Liquids Manufacturing team in Ft. Madison, IA. Starting pay is $20/hour with weekly pay and a step progression that increases pay by $0.50/hour over time.

The role handles automated liquid bottle filling machinery, feeding components and assisting with line changes to meet production schedules. You will need a high school diploma or GED, with 1 year of manufacturing operator experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to learn and operate multiple automated machines.
• Willingness to work across different shifts and overtime as needed.
• Must be a team player and promote teamwork across lines and shifts.
• Ability to follow verbal or written directions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend automated liquid bottling packaging equipment.
• Feed components onto conveyors and ensure continuous production.
• Replenish parts and perform routine setup and adjustments.
• Clean, lubricate, and troubleshoot equipment for maintenance.
• Communicate performance information to peers and supervisors.
