Job summary

Vertiv, located in Westerville, Ohio, seeks a Design Verification Test (DVT) Engineer to execute test plans for liquid cooling systems supporting AI-driven data centers. You will operate test equipment, collect data, and troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced lab, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, controls, and manufacturing engineers.

Travel up to 30% is required to support testing at regional labs and testing facilities; off-shift work and independent execution are emphasized to maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• 1–4 years of experience in test engineering, lab operations, or product validation.
• Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute Design Verification Tests (DVT) according to established test plans and procedures.
• Set up, operate, and monitor test equipment and liquid cooling systems during second shift operations.
• Monitor system performance in real-time and respond to alarms, faults, or abnormal conditions.
• Collect, verify, and document accurate test data in accordance with lab standards.
• Maintain detailed test logs, observations, and shift handoff notes.
• Support data analysis efforts by organizing and summarizing test results.
• Assist in preparing systems and instrumentation for FWT activities.
• Provide real-time support during testing and document results for internal and customer review.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to test setup, instrumentation, and system performance.
