You will transport liquid asphalt cement, perform pre/post inspections, and adhere to DOT regulations while maintaining a clean, well‑maintained truck. When liquid AC loads are not available, you may be cross-trained to haul materials with a dump truck or end‑dump tractor‑trailer, with nights and weekends required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Valid TWIC card required.
• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable CDL driving experience.
• Must operate a manual transmission; no automatic transmission restriction.
• Willingness to cross‑train on dump truck/end‑dump operations.
• Occasional night/weekend work may be required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

C.R. Jackson is seeking an experienced Liquid AC Tanker Operator to support our asphalt operations in Woodford, South Carolina.

This position is responsible for safely transporting liquid asphalt cement (AC) to our asphalt plants and job sites. When liquid AC loads are not available, the operator will be cross‑trained to haul materials using a dump truck and/or end‑dump tractor‑trailer.

The ideal candidate is an experienced CDL driver who takes pride in safe driving, dependable work, and being a reliable member of the team.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate a liquid AC tanker to transport liquid asphalt cement
• Load and unload liquid AC in accordance with company and safety procedures
• Complete required pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Follow all DOT regulations and C.R. Jackson safety requirements
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant personnel, and job site crews
• Maintain a clean and properly cared-for truck
• Report equipment or maintenance concerns promptly
• Complete required paperwork and load documentation accurately
• Operate a dump truck and/or end‑dump tractor‑trailer when liquid AC loads are not available
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
