PROLIM (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking a Linux/Windows Systems Administrator for one of our top clients in Linthicum, MD.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform as a Linux/Redhat systems administrator for a classified government contract.
2. Perform as a Windows Systems Administrator for a classified government contract.
3. Maintain smooth operation of all computer infrastructure in a multi-user environment, coordinating with various technical and management teams.
4. Analyze customer requirements and determine equipment and software needs.
5. Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
6. Provide backup and recovery services, manage data storage, and update security protections.
7. Create and maintain user accounts and modify permissions and security settings.
8. Test new product releases for compatibility and user impact.
9. Develop and document technical processes and procedures.
10. Make hardware and software purchase recommendations.
11. Interact with vendors to evaluate products and services.
12. Adhere to strict information security guidelines.
13. Deploy new STIGs and work with IT/IA to develop POA&Ms for vulnerabilities.
14. Understand vulnerability mitigation in accordance with RMF & DoD JSIG standards.
15. Maintain security logs and prepare security documentation.
16. Report project status and work independently to develop solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's Degree with 4 years, or a High School Diploma with 6 years of experience.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II (or higher) certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
• Experience managing Redhat Enterprise Linux OS and Windows Server OS in a classified environment.
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs and developing POA&Ms.
• Current DoD Secret security clearance, or enrolled in the DoD CE Program, to be maintained throughout employment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs within 9 months.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in IT with 2+ years of Linux, Windows, and VMWare experience in a JSIG environment.
• Experience operating within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG environments.
• Experience installing and maintaining hardware, understanding networking concepts, Cisco certifications, Windows AD, LDAP, SAN storage, Solaris OS, security tools, scripting, system imaging, and Certification & Accreditation processes.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
