Job Details

• Position: Intermediate AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator
• Type: Full Time, Remote (San Antonio-based Individuals Preferred)
• Security Clearance: Secret Clearance
• Contingency: Position contingent upon contract award

Responsibilities

1. Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS, ensuring security controls and compliance.
2. Define requirements, create functional models, and develop architectural processes.
3. Optimize system operations using AWS tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
4. Ensure adherence to security protocols and standards for cloud services.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant IT systems administration, with a bachelor's degree (master's degree may substitute 2 years).
2. Proficiency in managing Microsoft and Linux platforms, including AWS infrastructure maintenance.
3. Experience in system administration related to AWS workloads, Amazon EKS, and supporting development/test teams.
4. Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training, with at least 2 years of applied experience.
5. IAT II certification (Security+ preferred).
6. Secret clearance is required.
7. At least two of the following certifications or trainings, with at least one year of applied experience in container orchestration or application deployment:
   • AWS Cloud Practitioner
   • AWS SysOps Administrator
   • Operating a Production Kubernetes Cluster
   • Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
   • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
   • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
   • RH294: RHEL Linux Automation with Ansible
