Job summary

D2 Technical Services seeks a Tenable Administrator with Linux expertise to manage the Tenable Suite across our security infrastructure. This role targets vulnerability management within a DoD-aligned environment, emphasizing hands-on administration and proactive risk mitigation.

You will install, configure, and sustain Tenable Security Center and Nessus components on Linux, perform scans, analyze results, and coordinate remediation with IT teams. A current TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance current; ability to pass a government polygraph
• CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 10 years of cyber security experience
• Hands-on administrator experience with Tenable Suite (Security Center, Nessus Scanners, Nessus Manager)
• Strong Linux operating system knowledge: install, configure, maintain
• Experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a DoD-aligned environment
• Familiarity with scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell) and reporting

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Tenable components on Linux platforms
• Perform regular vulnerability scans and assess findings
• Prioritize vulnerabilities by severity and impact
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to remediate issues
• Generate and distribute vulnerability reports to stakeholders
• Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents promptly
• Stay updated on threats and vulnerabilities; provide user training on Tenable products
