Job Title: Linux System Engineer

Location: Remote

Scheduled Work Hours: 35 hours/week

Duration: 12+ Months

Scope Of Services:

• Coordinate infrastructure details supporting applications from design through testing and deployment.
• Perform technical design, development, and testing of repository changes.
• Setup and maintain cloud-based servers and services.
• Engage with development teams for production management support and new application design input.
• Create scalable data pipeline architecture based on best practices.
• Coordinate execution of break fixes in production and non-production environments.
• Investigate and resolve issues with stakeholders (e.g., OTI, vendors).
• Ensure deliverables meet requirements, matching server software stacks and specifications.
• Support testing and deployment by monitoring servers and providing feedback.
• Create and maintain system documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform assigned special projects and initiatives.

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

• At least 8 years of experience with Linux OS servers, Web Servers, IBM MDM/IIS, Oracle WebLogic, Portal Servers, Windows Servers on-premises and cloud.
• Minimum 8 years of SQL experience.
• Strong expertise in cloud technologies like AWS and Azure.
• Ability to write scripts (Ant, Maven, Shell) for configuration management, build, deployment, and routine functions.
• Experience with SSO configuration using SiteMinder with WebLogic/ iPlanet Servers.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Experience with Oracle 19c, AWS RDS/MySQL, or database appliances.
• Understanding of scalable application design principles.
• Experience with SOA and RESTful web services.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
