Job summary

Bitdeer Technologies Group is seeking a hands-on Linux System Engineer to build and optimize the compute and storage environment for its IC Lab in San Jose, California. You will own day-to-day system administration, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance for critical workloads.

The role requires deep Linux expertise, storage experience (NetApp/Ceph/ZFS), and proficiency with automation and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

5+ years of Linux system administration experience (CentOS/Ubuntu/Red Hat).
Proficient scripting with Shell; Python or Perl a plus.
Experience with storage systems (NetApp, Ceph, ZFS).
Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
Familiarity with resource scheduling (Openlava, Slurm) and networking/security best practices.

Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems.
Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation.
Manage storage systems (NetApp, Ceph, ZFS).
Implement and maintain automation/configuration tools (Ansible, PXE, Kickstart).
Deploy and monitor system performance with Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus.
