Job summary

Black Eagle Defense is seeking a System Administrator II to design architecture and develop Linux-based solutions in a hybrid cloud environment. You will work on a small Linux team, manage multiple networks and architectures, and automate tasks using Bash, Python, Puppet, and Ansible.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Linux administration experience, familiarity with AWS cloud technologies, and a strong teamwork mindset. DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification is required or expected.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience as a System Administrator in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university; five years of additional SA experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• DoD 8570.01-M compliance with a minimum certification of IAT Level II (e.g., Security+, CCNA).
• Experience deploying Linux-based services and automating with Bash, Python, Puppet, and Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Design architecture and develop solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Linux instances across multiple networks and architectures in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Automate processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Provide Tier 1/2 support and communicate status to management and stakeholders.
