Job summary

J&T is seeking a System Administrator 1 to provide hands-on Linux administration and operational support within a mission-critical enterprise environment. You will perform command-line system management, monitor systems, and manage application, data, and messaging flows.

The ideal candidate has solid Linux troubleshooting experience and can independently resolve routine to moderately complex technical issues, with coordinated coverage from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on business days and a 24/7 on-call

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Minimum of five years of direct Linux systems administration experience (no degree required).
Solid command-line proficiency with Linux OS environments, troubleshooting utilities, and shell navigation.

Responsibilities

Linux Administration: daily OS management, maintenance, user administration, and system health checks.
Data & Message Flows: monitor, manage, and verify application, data, and messaging pipeline performance.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operational bottlenecks.
System Availability: ensure mission system uptime and respond to alerts and downtime incidents.
Documentation & Coordination: document modifications and collaborate during handoffs and maintenance windows.
