Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Specialist, System Administrator to maintain Linux systems and NetApp storage in secure program areas.

You will install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot, and lead IT projects locally while communicating complex issues to management and security teams. The role requires 4+ years Linux/NetApp experience, 2+ years VMware, active TS/SCI clearance, and DoD 8570 IAT I or higher certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience; or 8 years in lieu of degree.
• 4 years Linux/NetApp systems administration experience.
• 2 years VMware or similar virtualization experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required.
• DoD 8570 IAT level I or higher certification is required.
• Overtime may be required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Up to 20% offsite travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Linux systems in secure program areas.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain Linux and NetApp storage units; maintain engineering tools.
• Lead IT projects at the local level and communicate with management and security teams.
• Develop scripts and tools for deployment automation to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver tailored technical solutions.
