A national IT consulting firm is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain RedHat 6.x and CentOS Linux systems. The successful candidate will ensure service availability, manage application deployments, and provide second-tier support to the Service Desk. Ideal candidates should have 4-8 years of Linux OS administration and experience with Cisco routing, Apache, and Windows server. A commitment to effective communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of RedHat or CentOS Linux OS administration.
• At least 2 years of Cisco L2 and L3 routing and switching experience.
• 2-4 years of Apache support experience.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, SMTP, RIP, EIGRP.
• 2-3 years of Windows 2002/3008 server administration.
• Experience in server hardware technologies, including SAN.
• Effective oral and written communication & documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, grow and optimize RedHat 6.x and CentOS Linux systems.
• Perform application deployments and upgrades.
• Ensure maximum service availability through failure prevention and disaster recovery.
• Provide second tier support to the Service Desk team.
• Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation.
