Job summary

Dark Wolf in College Park, MD seeks a Linux System Administrator to build and maintain an extensive IaaS and platform for a DoD customer. You will deploy critical services, develop documentation, and monitor security and performance across the stack.

The role requires 3+ years in Linux server/endpoint/VM admin, VMware, and a CK.A certification. HS Diploma is required; US Citizenship with an active Secret clearance is preferred. On-site 3 days/week with 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Linux server administration in enterprise environments (RHEL/Ubuntu).
• 3+ years Linux endpoint & VM administration for stability and performance.
• 3+ years core virtualization infrastructure management (VMware vSphere/vCenter/ESXi).
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, hybrid cloud, and DoD networks.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain services supporting primarily on-prem architecture.
• Work with Cybersecurity to implement system hardening and configuration management.
• Use IaC and CaC for repeatable provisioning and automation.
• Collaborate with development teams to provide onboarding support.
• Ensure platform and networks comply with DoD policies.
• Support backup and disaster recovery planning.
