Job summary

Referment is seeking an Engineering Manager to own Linux platform security across a high-performance tech environment. You will lead a technically skilled team, set security direction, and translate ambitious security ideas into real production controls while staying close to engineering work.

You will shape the security strategy, triage vulnerabilities, and accelerate secure design-to-production with strong authentication and workload identity improvements.

• Extensive experience securing complex Linux/Unix environments.
• Proven track record delivering security engineering to production.
• Experience leading engineers and security programmes through ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Linux security engineering team.
• Define the technical roadmap for platform security.
• Design and deploy security improvements across a large Linux estate.
• Remain directly involved in engineering and problem-solving.
• Improve authentication and authorization for privileged workflows.
• Balance security, usability, and business resilience in decisions.
