Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) is seeking a Linux End-User Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and secure Linux endpoints across campus. You will support desktops, labs, and workstations, ensuring reliability and alignment with institutional standards with scalable solutions and automation.

The role offers opportunities to influence campus-wide projects, with compensation commensurate to education and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• 2 years IT experience for Level 54T, or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with Linux systems and endpoint imaging/ provisioning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux endpoint management tools for deployment, configuration, software distribution and patching.
• Automate endpoint administration tasks with scripting and IT automation tools.
• Develop and maintain standardized Linux endpoint images and provisioning workflows.
• Integrate Linux endpoints with university identity management and single sign-on.
