Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a Linux DevOps Engineer in Chicago, IL for a 12+ month contract with hybrid work (3 days in the office). The role focuses on automating infrastructure using Ansible and Ansible Tower, managing Linux environments, and driving efficiency across deployments.

Ideal candidates will have strong Linux/Unix administration, hands-on Ansible experience, and scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go, or Java). This position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong experience administering and supporting Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, including creating and managing playbooks.
• Experience with Ansible Tower/AWX for automation and orchestration.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure concepts, including servers, networking, and operating systems.
• Experience troubleshooting networking issues, including firewalls, proxies, DNS, and network connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible and Ansible Tower.
• Develop, manage, and optimize Ansible playbooks for provisioning and configuration.
• Support Linux-based environments for stability, performance, and security.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application-related issues.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve system reliability and efficiency.
