Job summary

Lanes Group, a leading nationwide utility services provider, is recruiting a Lining Operative in Bradford to join Sapphire Utility Solutions. You will contribute to delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions, with training provided.

This permanent role offers Monday to Friday work, 47.5 hours per week, and a competitive hourly rate (£14-£16) dependent on experience. You will work across contracts with the potential for overtime and weekend work, supported by

• Full UK Driving License required.
• Desirable: flexible in working, may require weekends.
• Proficient with iPads/Tablets and able to adapt to weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work with patching and lining teams to perform repair methods across contracts; training provided.
• Operate and apply sewer repair techniques using lining drums, cutting equipment and compressors.
• Set up traffic management (training provided).
• Access confined spaces safely (training provided).
• Carry out risk assessments and update work packs.
• Occasionally work overtime or weekends as required.

Purpose of the role:

About the role:

• Location: Bradford
• Role type: Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week
• Salary: £14-£16 per hour dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with patching and lining teams to pick up various repair methods so they can move around the teams and eventually runs a van across all contracts (Training will be provided)
• Use of sewer repair techniques using industry recognised equipment (Lining drums, cutting equipment, compressors)
• Setting up traffic management (Training will be provided)
• Confined spaces entry (Training will be provided)
• Risk assessments and updating work packs
• The operative will be expected to be flexible picking up overtime if required and the occasional weekend

Key Requirements:

Skills and experience:

• Full UK Driving License

Desirable:

• To be flexible in their working approach as on occasion may need to work overtime such as at weekends
• Ability to work in all weathers
• Knowledge of utilities and traffic management (not essential)
• Competent in the use of iPads/Tablets
