Job summary

Lanes Group, a leading nationwide utilities provider, is hiring a HGV Jetting Engineer in Bradford. You will operate high-spec jetting and vacuumation units as part of a two-person crew on drainage projects.

• HGV Class 2 licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Drainage experience is essential.
• CPC qualification is desirable.
• CSCS card would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high-specification HGV jetting and vacuumation units safely as part of a two-person crew.
• Carry out drainage maintenance activities, including blockage clearance, pipe cleaning, and sewer cleansing programmes.
• Respond to emergency and reactive drainage incidents, ensuring a prompt and professional service.
• Complete accurate job records using tablets/ laptops.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental, and traffic management regulations on site.
• Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and customers to ensure high standards of work.
• Represent the company professionally to deliver excellent customer service.
• Keep vehicles, equipment, and work areas clean and ready for operation.

Purpose of the role:

We are currently recruiting for a HGV Jetting Engineer to join our team in Yorkshire. You will be part of a two-person team, operating our high specification jetting equipment and vacumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works across theBradford Area.

About the role:

• Location: Bradford
• Role type: Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week
• Salary: £15-£16.50 per hour dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain high-specification HGV jetting and vacuumation units safely and efficiently as part of a two-person crew.
• Carry out drainage maintenance activities, including blockage clearance, pipe cleaning, and sewer cleansing programmes.
• Respond to emergency and reactive drainage incidents, ensuring a prompt and professional service is delivered to customers.
• Complete accurate job records, reports, and operational data using electronic devices such as tablets and laptops.
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, environmental, and traffic management regulations while working on site.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Support the delivery of excellent customer service by representing the company professionally at all times.
• Ensure vehicles, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organised, and ready for operation.

Key Requirements:

Skills and experience:

• HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 6 penalty points ideally
• Previous drainage experience

Desirable:

• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous - however this could be obtained if necessary
