Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Linguistic Engineering Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing linguistic models, tools, and resources to enhance our language services. The ideal candidate has a strong background in computational linguistics and experience with natural language processing (NLP) technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain linguistic models and tools to support a range of language services.
2. Collaborate with linguists, translators, and other specialists to ensure accuracy and quality of language resources.
3. Implement and optimize NLP algorithms for multiple languages.
4. Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest advancements in computational linguistics and NLP.
5. Provide technical support and training to internal teams on linguistic tools and technologies.
6. Evaluate and enhance existing linguistic resources and workflows.
7. Utilize CAT tools, machine translation (MT) tools, generative AI tools, and quality control (QC) tools to improve processes and automate tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in linguistic engineering, language technology, or a related field.
3. Hands-on experience with CAT tools, MT tools, generative AI tools, and QC tools.
4. Strong knowledge of language technology tools and NLP technologies.
5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
7. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java is a plus.
8. Fluency in English is required; French and additional language skills are an asset.
