Job summary

Northampton Community College is seeking a Part-time Lineworker Instructor to support the Lineworker Trainee Program. Instructors will work primarily outside to develop students' safety, pole climbing, and line construction competencies, while also delivering classroom instruction and exams.

The ideal candidate has at least five years as a Journeyman Lineworker, with prior experience as a trainer/instructor considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Journeyman Lineworker.
• Experience as a trainer/instructor is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop students' safety, pole climbing, and line construction competencies outside the classroom.
• Present course material and administer exams in the classroom.

Lineworker Instructor

Please note that this position will remain open until filled.

Part-time hands-on adjunct Instructors for the Lineworker Trainee Program. The program is designed to prepare participants for entry level lineworker positions in the electrical and communications industry. Instructors will work primarily outside developing students' safety, pole climbing, and line construction competencies. They will also work in the classroom presenting course material and administering exams.

Scheduling is driven by program needs and may involve 1-4 days per weekduring each 12-week session, along with occasional days outside the session.

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Journeyman Lineworker. Experience as a trainer/instructor helpful.
